Jim and Willy are semi-retired and are available most anytime with a little warning. Jim and Willy donate any money they receive over and above travel expenses to a registered charity of choice. |
The Caption at the top and to the right along with the Canadian Flag ensures material is suitable for children, church, or plain good family entertainment. "Forgiven" released in 2006 and still for sale. |
There can
be a small fee when hiring the Jim Miller Band, as there are five in the
band, much equipment and travel expenses. Again all money over and above
expenses is donated to charity. The CD "Forgiven" released in 2006 is still for sale. The charity for that CD is Cancer Research, so far, thanks to your generosity, we have been able to donate several thousand dollars. |
About The Band
Jim Miller, Renfrew, ON - Vocals and Lead Guitar
Carl Lakins, White Lake, ON - Mandolin and Rhythm Guitar
Jason Emard, Horton, ON - Bass Guitar
Craig Eady, Horton, ON, - Percussion
Sandy Miller, Renfrew, ON - MC and Organizer
Hans Van Den Hurk, Horton, ON - Accordion and Harmonica
The Jim Miller Band originally included Jim Miller and Carl Lakins, and occasionally the two perform together as a team. Later Hans Van Den Hurk joined Carl and Jim, and most recently Jason Emard and Craig Eady were welcome additions to the group. Sandy organizes all the bookings and other details that make the Band special as well as serving as an MC at live performances.
Most of the bookings include Jim Miller and Willy Stopit as a duo. Jim's accordion and guitar produce a great sound as he adds his personal touch to old classics. Jim has a truck that is equipped to power up the same equipment he would use at an indoor performance. Performing outside or at a facility without hydro is no problem for Jim and his kneepal, Willy.
